Adedayo Stephen Okunlola
Adedayo Stephen Okunlola is a seasoned legal, tax, cost management accounting, and finance professional with over twenty-six (26) years’ extensive cognate experience in tax consulting and professional services practice, and about four (4) years’ cognate experience in commercial legal practice. His professional expertise cuts across taxation; cost management accounting; business administration; strategic management; economics; arbitration; corporate governance; financial investment analysis; and legal and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Phoenix Attorneys as a Senior Associate, Adedayo served as a Tax Consultant and Financial Advisory Specialist at various Nigerian professional services firms, where he gained significant experience in tax consulting and professional services practice. He has over two decade’s worth of extensive cognate experience in conducting advanced tax and financial services research, and in providing a wide range of tailored tax (and business advisory), transactional support, corporate governance, and financial investment analysis services to various local and international clients.
Adedayo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Calabar in Nigeria. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Enugu State University of Science & Technology in Nigeria and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy certification from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa in Nigeria. He is further certified by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN). Adedayo holds professional memberships of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICA), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Chartered Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (CICMA) of Nigeria, and the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts of Nigeria (CIFIAN) and the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts of South Africa (CIFIASA), as well as a Doctoral Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts of Ghana (CIFIAG).
